A lot of people us Vivaldi during the ceremony, and Pachelbel’s Canon is a very popular ceremony song as well (we’re using it for the recessional).

My Fiance and I love so many different types of music and so many artists, the reception can’t be long enough to play all of our favorites. But here’s some that are making our fav list right now:

Ideas for first dance: (not a huge Garth brooks fan but this song is melodic, haunting, and brings us to tears everytime) To Make you Feel My feel my Love -Garth Brooks,

An unkown artist who is amazing: Dave Barnes… and there’s a few: I have and Always Will (featuring Amy Grant), Until You (there’s a slow version on You, The night, and the candlenight, and there’s a fast rock version out there too, the slow is perect for the first dance and I thought it would be great to play a protion of the fast rock version for our intro), On A Night Like This is amazing as well. Note: If you like dave Barnes, find some Matt Wertz to listen to as well. Great for just playing during the reception.

The Way You look tongiht by Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra version.

The Power of Love-Celine Dion

Father/Daughter: My Wish by Rascal Flatts

Mother/Son: She’s Got A Way by Billi Joel (This song can work for bride/groom first dance, father daughter…anything really! I thought this would be great to play for my mother and father in-law to dance together to).

Also try listening to Some Harry conncik Jr., and see if any of that would work.

Hope this gives you some interesting ideas to think about. ๐Ÿ™‚
