My fiance and I are dj’ing our wedding (using an ipod) and I’m trying to put together a rough draft playlist, like what songs will be grouped together and how the ‘flow’ will go (3 classic rock-3 country-2 slow… that sort of thing) . Our dance will be from about 7:30-8pm until 12am, so around 4 hours. I’ve tried googling and found nothing. I’m wondering if any of you ladies have opted for an ipod wedding and how you made your playlists.
Thanks so much!!

I think the best way to ho about it is to ise itunes. I know iphones have an app that some bees have used, never had an issue with itunes. It shows you how many hours worth of songs uou have, and I find it pretty easy to group songs together so they kind of ‘flow’.

We are doing this for our wedding too. Our emcees will be manning the iPod to ensure everything runs smoothly (I wouldn’t trust an unmanned iPod!). One of our emcees (they are a married couple and our close friends) was in a rock band for years and travelled all over the world, and my Fiance is a music buff.
I’m not worried at all and I know it will be a great party (many people on these boards insist a DJ is best, but if you’re a bride on a budget and have someone controlling the flow, I don’t see an issue with an iPod reception). I’d be happy to post our list once it’s finalized!
