kelbrimale :  I thought the same thing but my string quartet didn’t charge extra at all and I had very obscure songs. One was a piece from the Young Victoria & the leader of the quartet tracked down that song and translated it from piano to strings!

We are having a super small bridal party.

They will be walking down to All Of My by John Legand (with vocals) then the song will seemlessly transition into a violin-only version (played by an in-person violinst) and I will walk with my dad to that.

Brige over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel,  played by a string quartet.

Fiance & I are both actors, and when we first met he was playing Garfunkel in a touring S&G musical. He was away a lot so I used to listen to Simon and Garfunkel when I missed him, and Bridge kind of became our song!

ceecity :  I’m having a friend play guitar as I walk down the ailse. While the bridesmaids walk down the aisle he’ll play “once upon a dream” and then when I walk down thaisle he’ll play either 1000 years or la vie en rose.  Still undecided.

Welcome to the bee!

A friend of my dad’s played a rendition of “hallelujah” on the guitar. One of my favorite ceremony moments!

I walked down to Elvis – Can’t Help Falling In Love but by a string quartet.

At the rehearsal, as soon as the song started playing every female in the room started crying, me, my mum, my FI’s mum, all my BM’s, EVEN THE CELEBRANT! And it had the same effect on the guests at the wedding too haha.

Mine is a little weird, but my fiance and I are weird people. The parents and siblings will be walking to the end title to Star Wars, A New Hope.

My fiance and I will walk toward eachother (outdoor venue, so we’re got the space to walk into the ceremony space from the sides and meet in the middle – like our relationship) to the 1963 opening credits of Dr Who.

Then the parents and us will walk back down the aisle to the 2005-2007 closing credits of Dr Who.

We picked the Dr Who themes first because that’s one of our biggest ways of relaxing. We love curling up with some tea and Dr Who. We chose the 1963 opening credits for before the ceremony because it’s quieter and has much less going on even though it still has that really distinct sound to it. We picked our favorite version of the closing credits with the strongest rhythmic component for the walk after the ceremony. And for the parents walk, my fiance really wanted something that was a strong march. And the Star Wars song was a good fit.

I think I will have the families and bridal party walk down to “Hoppipolla” by Sigour Ros, an instrumental version. I am going to walk down the aisle to the “Glasgow Love Theme” from Love Actually, it’s one of my favorite movies and I have always loved that score. Even though it’s from a sad scene in the movie, I just think it’s beautiful. After the ceremony , my Fiance and I will walk out to “You Make My Dreams” by Hall & Oates. 😁
