The song I want to walk down the aisle to is over 4 minutes long. Our wedding party is small, 2 BMs & 2 GMs, no flower girls, ring bearers or anything else. It’s just the six of us so obviously it’s not going to take long for us to make our entrances. I’m planning for us all to walk in during the same song but I know it won’t take 4 minutes to do this, and I reeeeeeeally don’t want Fiance and I to just be standing up there staring at each other while the song plays. I find that just… awkward. And as for just fading the music out at the end, that seems weird to me too. It’s like, okay we’re all in, kill the music! Any ideas as to how I can make this work?

Well, ours was too long for the aisle and we had probably about a minute at the end to compose ourselves, take a deep breath, give each other’s hands a squeeze and enjoy that first moment of seeing each other. Didn’t feel awkward at all

If you just slowly fade it out at the end, nobody will notice the song got cut short. They will be paying attention to you two, not the music. We had to do that and it worked out perfectly!

Our song is a bit long for our needs, too. We don’t have any bridal party at all, so it would just be me walking. There’s basically no song *that* short. 🙂 I think we’ve decided to add FI’s parents, and maybe each of our sisters, as “honor guest” types. At other wedding I’ve been too, grandparents also walked in the processional. And there’s always trimming the song a bit.

@Balboa: That’s the only thing I could really think of.. maybe having our parents walk in during the song too. Hmmm.

Is this recorded music? Edit it down.
Our entrance song for the reception was about 7+ minutes long. Our DJ edited it beautifully down to 2.5 minutes. 🙂

You can easily edit an MP3 with free editing software. We did that with our first dance.
