I’m trying to get suggestions for a song to walk to. I want it instrumental. I dont like old classical songs like mozart kinda stuff and I dont want the tradional here comes the bride music. I really like romantic guitar music but it doesnt have to be that. Also are you suppose to have 2 seperate songs for the wedding party and the bride? So far I have the instrumental version of Rascal Flatts “Bless the Broken Road.” I think I want that for me but i might do a seperate song for the bridal party. idk yet. Plus I need some soft background music while people are waiting before the ceremony starts. anyone know song good songs that are pretty are instrumental for walking down the aisle or soft romantic background music?
@jbbs1222: all of my prelude music has words. (iron & wine, death cab for cutie and ben gibbard & andrew kenny). however, my bridal party is walking down to the Piano Guys’ version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, which is really beautiful.
We did separate songs for the wedding party and me. Enya has some lovely songs (“Only Time” and “Caribbean Blue”) and you can always try Vitamin String Quartet for great instrumental covers of more popular songs. Good luck!
I found from another Bees post “thousand years” by christina perri which i love that song and wanted it for our first dance song but my Fiance doesnt like it. But the version the Bee posted was an instrumental version by the piano guys and its piano and a chello. I listened to it and after a few seconds i was in tears. it was so beautiful! I knew it was the perfect song for my walk down the aisle! i think im still going to do the rascall flatts one for the bridal party and do this one for me. heres the link for it. is so pretty!
if your looking for an awesome guitarish instrumental then youtube search ‘strawberry swing instrumental’ by coldplay…it is amazing….I’m not using it for mine though. I’m going with ‘Creature of the Sky Below’ by John Stanford
Also, I think it’s better to have 2 separate songs for the bridesmaids and you. It’s your day. You should stand out. Plus it will be a song that you and your husband will remember as you walked down the aisle towards him. It’s special and I don’t think it should be shared. My bridesmaids are walking down to Maestro by Hans Zimmer
Well my Fiance didnt want the regular song for our first dance but i played the link for the instrumental version I want to use for the walk and he thought it was really pretty. My mom loves the regular song too so I played this for her today too and told her to picture me in my dress walking down the aisle to it. she started tearing up and said she couldnt picture anything better and more romantic. that right there settled it for me!
