If all goes according to plan, Thunder Road on piano. It’s my favorite song of all-time.

Having a church wedding, so I believe the music must be fitting for a church, nothing secular, respectful of the house of God.

Because I have only my sister as my Honor Attendent, processional will be Pachabel’s Canon in D (an excerpt, because it is about 7 minutes in length for the full version).  First my fiance, his son, the best man,  and the Pastor will process on the right aisle, and after they reach the altar, my sister will process on the left aisle.  I will come in on the traditional “Here Comes the Bride”

During the service the hymn will be Here I am Lord.

Recessional will be the Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, followed by Handel’s Halleluia Chorus(because my father’s response to my getting married was, Halleluia, it’s about time!).

@dkacerek:  Getting married in a Catholic church.  We are allowed to give sheet music to their organist/pianist and he will play it.  Everywhere is diff.

Gosh, all these great selections have me frantically scribbling songs and artists to look up and thinking twice. I am having a New Orleans style garden wedding, so my wedding party is walking to La Vie en Rose Louis Armstrong version, and the music will change to Here I am by Leona Lewis when I come out. Exciting!

We’re considering having a bagpiper, if there’s room in our budget (this would be one of the first things to be cut if we start getting tight). If we don’t do a piper, then I’m walking into this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tiZHVMvNPA but just as a piano solo. The bridal party will probably walk into Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke. Since I’m just having an Maid/Matron of Honor, I think I’ll have my Future Father-In-Law escort my Future Mother-In-Law and have someone escort my mother down the aisle to this one before my Maid/Matron of Honor.

Edit: I actually almost feel bad not doing the traditional bridal march or some other song on an organ, since the church we’re getting married at has a large, lovely pipe organ and actually often has organ concerts. I actually want to have something else played, but the Trumpet Voluntary is the song I like most on the organ, and it seems wrong to NOT have the organ used during the ceremony.

Ooooh oooh ooohhhhh I like this thread :).

My bridal party will come out to “Waitin’ On A Woman” by Brad Paisley.

I will walk to “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley.

Our wedding will be a little country chic. I actually had picked out completely different songs but my honey insiiiiiisted that the song I walk to be “about me” because our first dance song is the designated “about us” song. I was worried about an “about me” song seeming egotistical…but these two are perfect and the Fiance loved them. Super excited :).
