The first one that pops into my head is Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie, but it does have sad tones, and is a bit slow.  The build up is wonderful though, and when the refrain hits… *sigh*

I’ll try to think of more though!

Are you looking for uptempo or slower?

More upbeat: Proclaimers, 500 Miles – I LOVE this song.

Slow:

I Love Paris – Ella Fitzgerald

April in Paris- Ella Fitzgerald

Mixed tempo: Brazil – Pink Martini – this one might be a little more challenging to dance to

“Leaving on a Jet Plane” by Bob Denver or other remakes comes to mind immediately, but it’s sort of melancholy.

Well these are two songs about traveling, but not together :/ But both beautiful lyrics!

Michael Buble “Home” and Robert Earl Keen “I’m coming home to you” – when husband is away on business trips, he will usually send me a text with a lyric from one of these songs.

My go-to travel song is an Irish folk song called “Rambling Rover”. It’s not very weddingy but it’s a great song .

dave matthews you & me could work…

Wanna pack your bags, Something small
Take what you need and we disappear
Without a trace we’ll be gone, gone
The moon and the stars can follow the car
and then when we get to the ocean
We gonna take a boat to the end of the world
All the way to the end of the world

Oh, and when the kids are old enough
We’re gonna teach them to fly

You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yes, yes [x2]

I know of two couples that used this song, it was very nice as a first dance song!
