I’d say it’s definitely a good sign, but I don’t know him enough to say how good. But keep doing what you’re doing! It’s obviously working!

Definitely a good idea to “do you” – reminds you and him of your worth.  Good job!  Look at him feel the fire under his butt a bit.  Hopefully your soon and his soon match up – real soon!  Pun intended.  πŸ™‚

It might be a good idea to ask him what soon means to him. He doesn’t have to give you an exact date but it might be easier to wait if you knew that “soon” to him means one year or one month.

Good luck!

Soon means nothing to me. My SO told me soon in February of this year and still nothing πŸ™ apparently 2012 is the yearbut he hasn’t even found the ring he likes  and it’s been 4 months πŸ™

@steelframe:  +1 My Fiance said soon from 1 year before the proposal all the way up to one week before the proposal. Soon to me meant like a month. I never got a timeline out of him though.

@stillwaiting88:  I feel your pain. My SO also said a ring would be coming “soon. Like SOON!” a week ago today. I’m pretty sure he just bought the ring sometime between Tuesday and today and I’m thinking/hoping he is going to propose on September 8th. However, I agree with others to just ask if you are not sure. I will say that in the past my SO and I have had very differing views on what “soon” meant so it is better to just know for sure. Best of luck!

It will come!  And you will be happy that he did it with a proposal, I’m sure.  And then you will come on here and post a thread about how you’re no longer waiting with a pic of your ring and the two of you together.  Aw <3 lol

I’m in the same boat.  I got mad at Facebook the other day because I’ve had so many engagment announcements in the last two weeks.  He asked me why I was upset since I would be “engagage soon”.  I told him that our definitions of soon were probably very different.  Good luck and I hope it is very soon πŸ™‚
