Wishing you lots of luck! I know a lot of people who have conceived after 37… I know it can be a little tougher, but by no means have you missed the opportunity. I hope you get your BFP soon! πŸ™‚

My dad’s cousin had her first child at 44 and her second at 47! And FI’s mom had him at 39. It can and does happen all the time. Good luck!

@Tess63110:  my friend’s parents were 40 and 40+ when they had her! She’s an only child and  a total genius. She skipped a bunch of grades!

@Tess63110:  No problem! I just realised that I could have said something far more helpful when I made my first post. My mother had me at 41, as did FI’s (I think) and has FI’s sister a couple years later. So you’re an early bird, really πŸ˜‰

I’m a late bloomer myself, and still TTC for the first time! I’ll actually be 37 next month. I feel like an old bitty around heresometimes.

My story-

I got married three months before I turned 36 last year.  We TTC right away.  I got pregnant 3rd cycle, unfortunately it was an ectopic.  Because It took FOREVER to deal with (with the methotrexate shot and waiting to recover), we started trying again in May.  Because of my age I’m worried too.  Technically we’ve been trying for one year, but with the ectopic and whacked out cycles, I feel like I still have hope because at least something happend right? I don’t know if that makes sense. :)!

Currently my OB put me on 50 mg of Clomid. This has made my already thin hair VERY thin… So much that I’m dreading taking another round if this isn’t my cycle!  But I am obese with PCOS, so my age isn’t the only factor… but I still feel sad about it sometimes.

I’m still crossing my fingers!  And I don’t think you’ve missed your chance at all… You’re never out til your out right?  My Darling Husband is so optomistic, but sometimes I feel like I’m letting him down because he could have married a younger woman who could in all probability give him children with less effort/stress.  He’s only 27.

I hope this isn’t a depressing story :)… I just wanted to let you know you aren’t alone in TTC at 37.

Hey there! I just turned 35 in October and my husband is 40 – will be 41 in April. Like you, I feel like an oldy and hoping that my age won’t prohibit us from having a child. We’re on month 5 of trying without any help from a doctor. I’m hoping I don’t have to go down that road – but we shall see.

Like many of the other bees here, I know people who have concieved well into their 40s. A couple I’m friends with right now are about to deliver a baby and they are both 44.

And I know this will sound silly – but whenever I’m feeling old – I look for the ages of all the hollywood stars getting pregnant these days. Many of them are in their late 30s, early 40s. Somehow, it makes me feel less stressed about being a late bloomer.

Best of luck to you and your husband!

@Tess63110:  Not a “late bloomer” BUT my cousins (38 and 36) are both pregnant right now, and my dad become a dad at 38 with me and 41 with my brother, so its possible!

@Tess63110:  This is a great forum! I’ve tried others but for some reason keep coming back here. I’m almost 35 and Darling Husband is 36. We’ve been TTC for 8 cycles. Had a mc at cycle 8 and are hoping the pregnancy kicked everything into gear and we get our rainbow  LO very soon. My older sister got pregnant first cycle with my gorgeous nephew x

I’m only 30, but I can’t imagine you should have any particular problems.
