I don’t like surprises, I’m a big planner and I like to contribute my ideas to pretty much anything. There’s nothing wrong with that, life has always rewarded me for being the type of person that takes he lead role in situations and comes up with the ideas (though not specifically in relation to parties, but in terms of anything I take on). Luckily I’m too busy for anyone to have the delusion that they could have a surprise event for me and expect me to be able to attend it πŸ™‚

Don’t beat yourself up over your feelings, but also try to realize that a party is not a big deal in the grand scope of things, and not having the perfect party favors or something doesn’t actually matter in the long run when your loved ones are celebrating you. And as for scheduling conflicts, if your mom wants to deal with that possibility herself, let her. It’s not like they’ll just have the party without you πŸ™‚

I HATE surprises. I also like taking the leading role in things.

My mother, aunt & MoH are all hosting my bridal shower.. but they asked me what colors I wanted πŸ˜€ So happy about that.

I actually enjoy not knowing what’s planned for my bachelorette party (which is tonight- finally). I’m the planner in the group, anytime we try to organize something, I end up making all the decisions. So I told my girls I wanted them to surprise me. They’re the people who know me best in the world, so I know it’s going to be amazing.

and I actually kind of like the ssspense of it all. I was so anxious before my showers, nervous no one would have fun, or that I wouldn’t seem gracious enough. I was honestly up half the night before each worrying about those things. So, at least you wont have to experience that.

It definitely sounds like its soon though, I know a lot of people put off shopping for these things until the week or so before- so just sit back and enjoy! It will bprecede t no matter what.

@papercrafter:  I knew when mine were, but i had no idea of the details. It was so hard. My 20 year old sister planned one of my showers (with help from my grandma) and I was so nervous, but it was today and it was beautiful. If i didn’t even know when it was i would probably freak. I am also a control freak haha
