Hi other brides
My name is Aimee and I am what most people would call a young bride as i’m only 20 (almost 21) but will be 22 when I marry. My FH and I have been engaged for almost 8 months now which is quite a while and the only thing I have really done is a good amount of googling, writing lists, starting a scrap book, and putting a deposit on my dress.
I have 17 months till I get married which is still quite some time to prepare and save and organise myself. but i must say i feel like I’ve wasted plenty of time…
So i welcome myself to the weddingbee board and i know you will all be a lot of help and inspiration for me
oh and if any of you south australians out there know of somewhere to get married under a willow tree please let me know 🙂

@fairybride: sounds like a gorgeous place to have a wedding! I don’t know where there is a willow tree though in SA! Maybe start looking around at the botanic gardens or some parks around Adelaide.

This place has willow trees but I have no idea what the site actually looks like. But since they say they are on the murray and have willow trees maybe they are common along the river?
Also does willow tree cottage have actual willow trees? might be worth looking into.
Also Bishops Adelaide Hill Willow cottage.
You could also ring the state government parks people and see if they know of any state parks with willow trees.

You have plenty of time to plan, we have an 18 month engagement – only 11 months to go!!
I had everything planned by the first 2 months, it feels great to sit back, relax & only need to worry about the small things.
Take your time & enjoy the moment!
Good luck 🙂

I looked at willow tree cottage and they said they don’t do weddings *sigh* but hopefully I have found a place… I saw on the side of the road in hahndorf a little willow tree in a paddock, I wrote a letter to the owner and had a phone call today saying that she has another willow tree by her damn and would welcome a wedding… so I’ll have a look at it next week and see how it goes
Thanks bees for your help X
