I am debating whether or not I should cough up the cash for a bridal clutch. Just trying to think if it is something that I will actually use/need on the day of.
Did you end up using it? Was it a help or a waste?

I am. I am obsessive about Chapstick and MUST have some with me at all times, I’ll also want a tide to go handy (just in case), powder, mints, etc! Plus, my ceremony is at a different location than reception.

I had one and never saw it the whole night, I am glad that I bought one that I am planning to use again. I think that it stayed in the dressing room, but I am really not sure, just glad it made it home, lol.

I got a bag. A bridal bag. I was able to store my clothes and little extras. I had my mother in charge of it she took it from the church and had it in her car at the reception. It worked out great. And I can totally reuse it again to carry items in.

I am having my bridesmaids carry clutches and My Maid/Matron of Honor (who is also my sister) is going to carry a few essentials for me. I feel as though at all the weddings I’ve been to it is better to have a “survival kit” of a few items (for me hand sanitizer is a must) that someone close to us can watch out for and help us if we need it. There is so much for the Bride and Groom to do!

I am not yet married (less than 2 weeks, eeek!) but I am not going to buy one. I feel that it is a one time use (for me) and I will probably loose it and it will be a waste of money.

I thought about getting a little bag or clutch. Not just for things I may need but, to hold my something old, something new (etc.).

I had a bag which Darling Husband bought for me, and although I didn’t carry it with me, my friend brought it to the reception, and put it under my chair. In there I had my mobile phone, makeup, spare tights, tissues, perfume, anti-perspirant, needle and thread, pins and dry clean wipes – and yes I used most of them apart from – surprisingly considering, I – mega-clutz was wearing a white dress. It is now my posh bag whch I use for weddings, christening, nice nights out etc.

I also had a clutch, but it wasn’t a ‘bridal’ one per se, and I’m really glad I had it. ALthough I didn’t use it that much it was nice to have my lip gloss and travel size perfume in it and it is the type of clutch that I will definitely use for other occassions.

not my personal opinion (even though I’m not going to have one)
but my wedding magazine says that the bride is never to carry one, the Maid/Matron of Honor should if necessary

I wouldn’t buy one for the wedding. Maybe use something I have lying around. If not, my ‘maids will be helping me out. 🙂

I don’t think I’ll have one as I hate carrying around clutch bags. I’m not planning to have my phone with me at all on the day, I’ll get my dad to put my medication in his pocket (I’m sure he won’t mind ) and I’m sure I can convince my mum or one of my bridesmaids to carry my lipstick and any of those other little bits I might need over the course of the evening.

@ashescats argh.. Not supposed to have one?? I’ve bought one and considering carrying it instead of flowers. I just feel a bit stupid with a bunch of flowers in my hand. I’m 41 and feel its an elegant accessory

I had one, I didn’t carry it around but it was in the cars and under the table at the reception with perfume and make up for touch ups and was very useful to have it as you want to look your best all day 🙂
