I tried this dress on, before deciding to go with Sophia Tolli’s Begonia instead. I loved the top of this dress, but the unfinished bottom is what helped me make my decision. I still think it is so beautiful and I love looking at pictures of it, if I could have had both, I would have done that! I believe my sample was the French Beige (which is quite pretty, but looked absolutely terrible with my coloring!), and it was about 1 size too big but clipped pretty well!

Spade:  I wasnt crazy about her bustle either!  Also I did get a wider belt.  The thin belt wasnt doing it for me.  I found one on Etsy for around $50.00!

Are the brides here thinking long or short veils? I bought a simple, short veil myself..but just wondering! πŸ™‚

MauiBrideOct2015:  I’m thinking a cathedral length veil. I’d like to get one that ends around where the train of the dress finishes, and a shorter blusher as well. I just plan on wearing a veil for the ceremony and photos and I love the look of long veils.

MauiBrideOct2015:  I have an Ivory chapel length veil with an ivory trim and Swarovski crystals dotted all over the veil. It’s fabulous sparkling as u walk. And it comes to the end of the train on the dress. A cathedral one would be longer than the dress which would also be nice. Mine is mysomething  borrowed from my fiancées sister.

I’m doing an ivory cathedral length veil with my french beige prinia and I love the way it looks! I think it’s hard to go wrong with this dress, though!

msgreeneyes:  I was wondering is the hip measurement true to the sizing chart? I’ve got curvy hips as well and I’m worried that it will be too small in the hips for me. My bridal salon picked my size based on waist and bust measurement but I’m a few inches bigger in the hips than the sizing chart. Thanks!

I’m still waiting on my dress… if anyone has new pics please feel free to share!

The thread has gone quiet and I’m getting withdrawal symptoms   lol

ChocolateTart:  I am a 4 in the hips and a 0 in waist/bust, so the salon ordered a 4. In my widest part, the dress doesn’t need to be altered, but there’s still a pretty good amount in the hips that she is taking in. I’m also looking for a “modified a-line” look. Here’s a picture of the dress with the top layer pulled up and you can see where she’s taking it in.

We also played around with moving the belt, bigger belt, and straps (which I thought I would like but I really don’t!), I’ll attach those pics too.

Spade:  ask and you shall receive! πŸ˜€

spaghettisauce:  msgreeneyes:  Thansk for getting back to me ladies, I’m glad that there’s some extra room in the hips and that there’s space to take it out if I need it. You both look lovely in your dresses and I love seeing the changes you’re making to it too
