saradcbride:  It might not feel too heavy, but that’s still a lot of stuff hanging from one tiny little point. Also, if you’re leaning or have changed your shoes or who knows what else and someone lightly steps on it, that’s a lot of weight that isn’t distributed at all. I always hear of single points breaking, I rarely hear of them surviving the whole night. Personally, I wouldn’t use a single point on any dress, but especially not a big one like yours. Also, as far as aesthetics go, the two bustled photos you posted look so so similar that I would opt for security!

welshwilliams:  Hi, I had a similar issue where my bust and waist were a smaller size and my hips were a larger size. My shop still recommended that I got the smaller size to fit my waist and bust, since they said the hip measurement doesnt matter in this style of dress. I had a bigger size difference than you though, i was about 2.5 inches bigger in the hips than the size I ordered so I was a bit worried but when the dress came in it fit fine.

If you ordered it a month ago though it sounds like you might not be able to change the size at this stage, but it is pretty easy to alter. There are seams on each side to take it in and the corset back can be adjusted as well. You should be fine 🙂

The dress looks lovely on you btw, what colour did you order it in?

ChocolateTart:  Thank you, this is the ivory! I knew the very same evening that I should have gone for the smaller size and really regret not calling them right away! I just listened to everyone telling me that it would be fine. You can totally hide 0.5 inches in an A line! Lesson learnt, always trust your gut!

At least the pressure is off now for losing the Christmas weight 😉

welshwilliams:  I got the ivory too! The dress is at my parents house so I haven’t seen it for a while, I love looking at other peoples photos of the dress.

Im sure your seamstress is used to brides losing weight before their wedding and will make it fit you perfectly

Hi All!

I was married in the Prinia on 10/10/15 with a Maggie Sotterro bolero, that I removed for the reception.  The blog post from my photographer is below, happy to answer any questions you might have! I felt like a princess all night!

kellymdees:  Congratulations!! You looked beautiful and the photos were beautiful as well. How did the bustle hold up during the wedding? Did you have a single point? Did you cut off any of the train?
