I’m on Day 3 of a horrific head cold that has kept me out of work for the last 2 days. I went back to work today, but it seems like the cold has gone to my chest a little. I’ve been having some productive coughing, but no fever.
I’ve discovered a spot on my ribs that is painful to the touch, almost like a bruise, except the skin looks fine. It is on my left side, about a finger width below my bra band. I have no clue what’s caused this, if it could be due to poor posture (I teach little kids and often sit in little chairs to be on their level) or something to do with the coughing.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be or if anyone has experienced this?

@tnbellebee: I’ve been having that for a bit lately although it is on and off, but I’ve heard it could be a pinched nerve. Hope you feel better soon 🙂

I remember getting this from going through a coughing spell for a few weeks. This happened long before I was pregnant, I remember it was very painful….maybe you pulled a muscle? or it could be a bruise from hitting yourself on something (I do this all the time).
Could be a pinched nerve… are you laying on your side when you are resting?
Just keep an eye on it and take it easy.

Yes, I do lie on my left side when I’m resting….I’ll switch to the right! Too Much Information, but I am beginning to wonder if it has something to do with the weight of my breasts, which seem to have blown up over the last few days. ….
