I’ve got my Big Sis and my little sis (who is actually exactly 2 weeks older than me) are both BM! I kinda want 1 picture of us doing the DG salute thing… so cheesy I know but still

@PinkPinstripes: I almost forgot about that! It’s not an event unless there’s a cute salute in there somewhere!

Any DGs incorporating nautical elements?

Chi Omega here! Four of my bridesmaids and my personal attendent are Chios. Our flower is the white carnation, so I’m having all of the BM’s carry them as their bouquets.

My pin will be pinned onto the handle of my bouquet and I will be wearing my mothers badge as my something borrowed for the day.

We will also be singing our toast. During this toast we stand on chairs with one foot on the table and sing……and yes, I will be doing this in my wedding gown. It will be fun, and I am excited about it since so many of my guest are alums.

Lastly, we will be having a traditional sisterhood circle, a ceremony where all of my sisters hold hands in a circle, surround my husband and me, and sweetly sing a Chi Omega song.

I figure that if greek life is a big part of who you are, then it should be represented somewhere in the wedding. Personal touches are always a good way to make your day something memorable and special.

I’m a member of Delta Sigma Theta. We aren’t really incorporating anything into the wedding. 4 of my sorority sisters are Bridesmaid or Best Man and 2 are hostess. My sorors will surround me at the reception and sing a song to me.

Delta Zeta– I’m not doing anything for the wedding though.. I’m only inviting 4 girls from my sorority (I have a lot of family, so I’m limited on the number of friends I can invite) so it would be kind of weird for all the other guests

Pi Beta Phi here, Ontario Gamma chapter πŸ™‚ Hi Pi Phi’s!

I’d wanted to be in a sorority since I was pretty young. One of my biggest regrets is not going to school in the US so I could have been more active in Greek life. Even to this day, if I could have had a do-over, I would go south of the border – I loooooved Greek life and would have loved living in a house and doing a “real” rush and all that jazz πŸ™‚ but then I never would have met hubby so I guess it all worked out!

I ended up graduating a year early, and missed a lot of solid bonding time that last year. The rest of my pledge class is a lot closer as a result πŸ™ although I am still good friends with a few of my sisters and my big sis. My school also only has 2 sororities (I think only one now) so there were no houses, but i did live with a few of my sisters. I didn’t incorporate anything Pi Phi into my wedding.

Alpha Phi (Iota Eta chapter)! I’m not sure that we’ll be incorporating anything (silver and bordeaux are just not July colors, sad), but my big, my 5 littles (yes, 5!), and some of my sisters will be there.

Love and AOE to all you Phis!

I rushed and pledged Alpha Gamma Delta but didn’t initiate.  Greek life was rocky when I was going through the process – all kinds of bad things happening and chapters getting in trouble and what not πŸ™

What – No Gamma Phi Betas on here? I was very active in Greek Life and super close with my sisters (in fact had sisters as roommates for years before i moved in with FI) I plan on inviting around 20 of them and at every wedding I have been to we sing ‘Remember’ in a small circle around the bride. I don’t care what the other guests think of it – I have been waiting for my turn! It is special.

Also – our colors are Brown and Mode (I know, what? But that is dark brown and light brown…thing tannish) And now that i think of that we have tons of browns and creams going on, nice!

I will also have my badge pinned into my dress!

Was pinned by a Sigma Phi Epsilon in college, and was the Sigma Nu White Rose – but my Fiance is a GDI πŸ™‚
