I guess mine is a fit and flare. I don’t really know, because I get confused about the difference between a fit and flare and trumpet. Anyway–it’s fitted to just below the butt/upper thigh, and gradually flares out to the bottom. It’s not a drastic flare though.

Haha, I’m a little nervous about my Fiance and my ballgown. I’m feeling a little better about it since watching the SYTTD episode where the girls were either on “Team Poofy” or “Team Sexy,” and I asked him which team he’d be on, and he said, “Team Poofy.”

What’s the difference between Fit & Flare and Dropped Waist?

I actually have no idea. I guess I kind of always pictured fit and flare to be a little more dropped than a dropped waist? Kind of like this:

My dress is a fit and flare. Love the style, and it looks the best on my shape.
My favorite dress of all time though is Amsale Tyler. I lust over that dress every time I see it! I wish I had the shape to wear it…..I also love the look of a dropped waist ballgown especially the ones by Kenneth Pool. The one in the picture above ^^ = i die. However, that shape just wasn’t “me” when I put it on.

My dress is A-line but I LOVE mermaid dresses and am having some dress regret 🙁

I didn’t vote in the poll, because my dress will be (my aunt is making it) a natural waist, sheath style- similar to Jenny Yoo’s Thea dress. This style, and natural waist a-line dresses are my favorites.

AHHH I forgot the sheath! Sheaths are gorgeous.

I love a classic “cake topper” ballgown 🙂

My dress is an a-line with a dropped waist. I tend to like a-line and sheath styles best in chiffon or lace. I’ve never been into poofy ballgowns or really trendy styles like mermaid. I also think the flowy empire waist styles are beautiful but I didn’t wanna look preggo at my wedding, lol.
