Never on purpose.  My stepson did and we got black screened for it.  The whole ordeal taught him not to do that again because it was a redic process to get it all back on.

@CarolinaCola: I did when napster first came out, but that didn’t last long. When was that 10 years ago? lol I wouldn’t even know where to download “free” stuff anymore. ;P

I did when I was younger but it kept giving me viruses so I stopped. Also, I have money to buy stuff now so I don’t need to steal it anymore.

Nope, I also don’t have a computer at home so I couldn’t even if I wanted to! I did use limewire back in the day though.

Used to use Limewire but it was a pain in the ass. Now it’s just as easy for me to download music I paid for straight to my ipod 🙂

When I was in middle school, half a lifetime ago. Haven’t since then, you can listen to free content all day long on the radio/tv/internet, but if you want to download it and have a ‘personal copy’ just pay for it. Back then I remember that CD prices had gone insane and there were even all sorts of stories in the news about collusion regarding fixing prices on CDs, but these days the content is fairly priced and we should stop pirating.

I honestly would have no clue how but not real tempted either. I am such a techno baby it took me a couple of weeks to figure out how to upload photos on the bee. I think TKS had to help me figure it out. 🙂  Downloading seems even more complicated. If I want music I buy an Itunes card and put my little sister on the project.

@bearlove Agreed! CDs used to be soo expensive and I’d only really want a couple of songs!

I sort of feel the same way about buying movies now too. RedBox has been what the industry needed to lower prices.

I did back in the Napster/Limewire days, but not since then.

SOPA/PIPA would not only have little to no effect on preventing piracy, it would make it easier to censor the free net, which would greatly effect sites with user content like Weddingbee! Stumping technology and communication is NOT the right way to go! Protest against SOPA/PIPA!
