Let me start by saying that I would really like for my SO to have input in our wedding since it is OUR day after all. Soo my SO and I were talking about what we’d like to have in our wedding. We both agree on Fall and outdoors, YAY haha. Then he started saying, what if we could get married in a tree top village like the ewoks live in in Star Wars? So I start cracking up and asked what if his grandma couldn’t get up the tree? He goes “I’d tell her she obviously doesn’t want to see our wedding if she can’t climb up a measly 75 ft tree.” LOL. Then he says he would like the bridal party to be in very bright rainbow colors, and I was like…Ok, so different colored dresses and matching ties? And he said no, different colored dresses and different colored suits and I quote “They’ll look like skittles, it’ll be great!” So I start laughing again because he can’t be serious, right? And he gets all quiet. Then he said he thought that it would be really cool and unique and he doesn’t want a “typical” wedding. Seeing as how he’s only been to one wedding since childhood and that was with me this past June, I don’t know how he’s classified “typical” unless he has a secret pinterest account or something.
Lol, so any other brides, married ladies, etc have some outrageous suggestions from your SO? Let’s hear ’em!

- Wedding: December 2012 - Hacienda los Agaves
At one point he suggested he and his Groomsmen can wear Spartan II helmets, the ones in the Halo videogames?, they’re big fans. I know the suggestion was secretly serious.

@FutureMrsJohnson_: Hello 951 bride!
My Darling Husband was ridiculous particular about the alcohol served to the point where we went waaaaay over budget. Considering that my family doesn’t drink and most of his doesn’t either I saw this as a frivolous expense but I chose to pick my battles wisely and went along with it.

Darling Husband wanted to just send evites to all his single straight male friends.
He also wanted us to leave the church to the sound of the Imperial March and for us to have a masquerade ball reception, but I was completely on board with those ideas (the church nixed the Imperial March, though).

my dh wanted a pirate themed wedding and everyone to wear eye patches. then his suggestion was for everyone to wear fake moustaches all night long. where does he come up with this stuff?
he did want a top-shelf tequila bar with tequilas that we brought from mexico (ones you can’t get at local liquor stores). we did that for him and everyone loved it. they were at the bar all night.

Mine wanted to get married at a lighthouse really badly for some reason. As we continue planning, he has dropped the idea.
He’ll pop out an idea, like going to Vagas or eloping at Disney with Mickey Mouse, then he’ll drop it. I don’t know if he’s serious or not since he drops it on his own.
