Hello!

I do not have any pictures of it in the ivory over light gold, but that it the color I tried on and have ordered. It is stunning! The light gold is subtle under the ivory, and gives it a beautiful antique look. I hope that this helps a little.

I bought this dress in light gold/ivory, and I love the look of it!  There are 2 layers of ivory lace over the light gold, so the gold doesn’t show too much.  Its more there to add a depth to the colors of the dress.  To be honest, I tried it on without even knowing that the color was “light gold.” Below is a picture of the one I tried on in the light gold and ivory.

Edit: I forgot to add that I am having the neckline modified, so this picture is of my dress being pinned into a deeper sweetheart neckline.

sgbcn,

What colors are you thinking of? I think you can pick most colors. I am doing jewel tones (eggplant, teal, burgundy with grey as my neutral). Its very classic, elegant, and like I said antique like. But JessyMess is right, its very subtle. The laydy who helped me held an ivory satin under the lace so I could see without the light gold, and I found it has much more depth with the light gold, the lace bits are more obvious.

@sgbcn: Can you post a pic when you get it? I am waiting for my correct size to come in too, and I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it fits!

@waterloobee: We are date twins! Did you pick the Geraldine?

@monzajac: The Bridal Suite in Hamilton, NJ used to have a sample of the Geraldine, but I bought it.  Their new one will come in sometime in December, BUT I live in Wilmington, DE (40 minutes south of Philly), and you’re welcome to try mine on after my wedding on October 29th.  Its a size 10, and normally I wear a size 8-10 in dresses.

Chrissy O Design in NEwton NJ has basically all of the most popular dresses by maggie and alfred angelo..I tried on geraldine and fell in love. I ordered it in the gold as well, can barely tell the gold is even in it but it hads a very romantic glow to it!!  I ordered it one size smaller than i am in the hopes of dropping a few needed pounds..wish me luck!!! I have pictures if needed
