I am making my own brooch bouquet.  Flowers die, but this can be saved and passed on to my future daughter (in-law). 😀

I’d love to share! My Bridesmaid or Best Man Bouquets are $20 each and will be all roses. Getting them from the floral dept of a local groccery store! I had seriously considered DIY, but with the bouquets this cheap from a pro, it doesn’t make sense for me to do it myself.

I did my own flowers for about $400, I ordered 200 red & white roses and about 120 spray roses from Costco.  With help from my bridesmaids we made: 1 bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 8 boutonnieres (I ordered the groom’s & the best man’s because I wanted calla lilies for them & was a little nervous about working with that flower), 2 mother of the bride/groom nose gays, 2 small alter displays, a small display for the escort card table, 2 small displays for our sweetheart table, 12 centerpieces, and I still had roses to spare to break down into petals for the isle.  As long as you have some help, go for it!  Because I had never worked with flowers before I kept my design very simple and got some great info from YouTube videos, it really was not too difficult and I was very happy with the result.

Here are a few pics of how everything turned out:

You don’t want to know!!! SEriously I am actually embarrased at how expensive my flowers were 🙁

I was such an idiot when it came to flowers, it’s my one big $ regret from the wedding 🙁

My tussy mussy was $10 right from the grocery store, purchased about 10 minutes before we met up with the JoP.  It came with a vase.  I didn’t want the vase, so I left it behind.  I broke off one of the stems and pinned it onto Darling Husband with a safety pin I found in my purse.

I was going to do the DIY route. However, my fiance and I decided that on our wedding day, we are going to show up and have a beautiful day and not worry about all of the details. From my bouquet, the wedding and reception flowers, and corsages and boutineers and ceremony flowers the grand total is $1250. That will also include set up as well.

My flowers are going to be orange cymbidium orchids and sahara roses

My bouquet is $150.

Each of my 7 bridesmaids bouquets are $40.

All in all, I am spending $850ish on flowers.
