You HAVE TO check out the W in South Beach!

The property is Ocean Front, and will be able to accomodate beach front ceremonies, as well as in other unique locations around the hotel.

I have a girlfriend who is the Catering Manager there, and the hotel is going to blow all of the other ones out of the water! She is HYSTERICAL! Amber Cohen, honestly, is too much! But she has a great handle on the South Beach market, and very innovative ideas.  Her Email address is [email protected]

The hotel is brand new, and has ALL ocean view rooms with balconies, and from what I hear are quite large for the area. Because the hotel is newly built, they are able to offer services and amenities that the other hotels in the area cannot accomodate.

Their website is http://www.whotels.com/southbeach

I have a great officiant who does all types of weddings. She is VERY open to personalization and speaks 5 languages fluently. She reasonably priced too. I’m not sure her travel radius, but she is doing our ceremony in the West Palm Area in June.

Ceclia Johnson–she has a website (that’s how I found her…I know all about remote planning!)

I’m having a south beach wedding also…..

Venue:The Hilton Bentlley

Dj: Liquid dj’s

Photographer: Minerva photography

Invitations: http://www.papeteriestore.com/store/index.php

Florist: Either Pistals n Petals or Vivian Colis

Still have to nail everyone else down… Pistals n petals I have met with and has promised to give me amazing custom work…Viviian I will meet with today to get a comparison…have seen raving reviews on her customer service and design.

I looked up The National Hotel also…very chic, one of my top choices. I decided to go with the Hilton Bentley because of their fabulous all white glossy banquet room with built in bar, and low price. It’s on 101 Ocean Drive and their menus start at 110 per person for steak au poive!!! Score right?

Good luck with all the planning!:)

I would highly recommend Lisa Lee from Alluring Faces (http://www.alluringfaces.com) she did a fabulous job on my hair and affordable for on location hair styling.

I also had Cynthia from the MAC counter at Dadeland mall do my makeup on location. You can just ask when they are having most of the artist in for a special makeup event or something and come in on that day and check out their work – I choose her b/c I liked her work – just went up to her and turns out they all freelance so I booked directly through her for a very affordable price and had my trial at MAC a week before and got $50 in products so I got makeup for free.

Good luck – I also have a seamstress which I highly recommend and have to many bees.

Hello!  I’m from New Jersey planning a Miami wedding.  We just got engaged and are flying down in January to look at a location.  We’re pretty sure we want to have the wedding at Grove Isle (http://www.groveisle.com/).  Has anyone had a weddign there?

I’ve been researching about a lot of the vendors mentioned on this board like Vision DJ (http://www.visiondjs.com) Liquid DJ (http://www.liquiddjs.com) for DJ, Ashley Colhouer (http://www.1313blog.com) … who I LOVE for, photographs and Lauren Daversa Events (http://www.laurendaversa.com) for planning.  We actually have spoken with Lauren.  She is fabulous and confirmed what everyones been saying about these vendors.

Any suggestions would be helpful…like how to choose between Visiona and Liquid?
