Is Plymouth considered the cape? Or south shore? Sometimes I post on the cape boards on the knot and get no response, but I find posting on here is difficult to get a response too because there are so.many.bees! But maybe it’s because Plymouth isn’t the cape?
Moving on to the question-I’m starting to look at a salon to book my hair and makeup trials, and most have very few reviews (like three Yelp). I don’t want to waste money on a trial if the place is dumpy, or poor service, not reputable, etc. Any opinions on any of these salons will be greatly appreciated!

I have a friend who works at a salon in Hyannis. She’s awesome & her hair is always on point.

Thanks! Hyannis looks to be an hour from Plymouth though, which is farther than I’d want to drive the morning of the wedding

Have you thought have having someone come to you at the hotel (or whereever you are gettign ready?) A friend of mine used Charlotte Phinney and looked beautiful. http://www.charlottephinney.com
I am also getting married in Plymouth and thinking about using her. Where in my plymouth are you getting married?

@moochelle13: I researched a bunch of travelling professionals, and I really don’t think I can afford it. Most are $150 for hair and $150 for makeup, with $75 each trial. I think that’s an absurd amount of money, when the nearby salons are less than $100 each service and half that for the trials (Even the salon that Charlotte works out of!).
I guess I’m not 100% sold yet, I just can’t fathom it right now. Especially if I can go to the salon that an artist works out of, I would think the services would be comprable.
I’m actually getting married in Kingston but staying in Plymouth.

@kmarie719: I agree! The price of everything wedding related is crazy!
I am getting married at the Pinehills and they have me a list of vendors for hair/makeup. Unfortunately most of them are on-site, but maybe you will find a reasonable one:

I think if your google their names you should find the website. A friend of mine recently got married in the area, so I will see if she used a salon.
