I’m trying to help my best friend find venues to check out for her wedding. Ideally she is wanting something not terribly expensive (they’re on a really tight budget), and they want to do the food themselves.
That being said, she would also prefer somewhere aesthetically pleasing, and the wedding could end up being pretty big.
I honestly don’t know where to start. All the venues that she and I are finding online have a caterer or list of caterers you have to choose from.
Thanks for your help!

Bump! I am struggling with this exact same issue and have been for over a month. Any ideas?
I know Delaware Township allows outside catering, and I recently discovered the Post Road Community Center Ballroom. The latter rents for $150 an hour on weekends and allows outside catering under 100 people. It sounded like they may be flexible with that number though. Both weren’t quite what we were looking for, but were really usable facilities.

Does it have to be south side? What is her budget like?

I wanted to let everyone know what she decided on! She ended up going with Henry Breeding Farm, which is around Edinburg. I had never heard of it, but it’s EXACTLY what she always dreamed of… a beautiful, rustic barn venue that is actually in her budget.
Here are some photos of the venue… the wedding will be at a church in Greenwood, and the reception venue is about 30-45 minutes from there.
