In the middle of planning and am having trouble finding a reasonable photographer for my wedding! I’d like to stay under or at $5k for "the works", but its been tough! Any help or suggestions would be MOST appreciated! 🙂 Oh yeah, date is Nov 22, 2008!

Travis Hoehne– http://www.travishoehne.blogspot.com. He quoted us under $5K for engagement shoot, unlimited photography day of, 2nd shooter, CD of all edited images in 2-3 weeks, 12X12 30-side album w/ comp. album design, (2) duplicated 8X8 parent albums.
Serena Grace http://www.serenagrace.com has a similar package (with a 11X14 print from your engagement session) for about $4K.
Sarah K Chen, Nataly Lemus, Zenia Photography, Jonilyn Photography, and eight20 Photography fall in the same price range.
Not sure about their availability, though… good luck! We met with Travis this past weekend and he was awesome. Looking forward to meeting the other photogs in the next few weeks.

That was my exact budget too. Here are my suggestions:
My wedding photog: http://www.yvonne-wong.com/ She’s based out of Seattle and even with travel fees she was under $5k. This was very comparable to other local photog packages and the package includes lots. She was featured on weddingbee twice (it’s acutally how I found her):
My wedding is West Hollywood and my package includes: 9 hrs, online proofing on private website, best of slideshow, all images on Hi res DVD, all individuall edited prints in a proofbook OR 4×6 prints, engagement session w/all prints on hi res dvd, 30 side 10×10 custom album, and 24 custom designed thank you cards.
The other photogs that I loved but were booked on my day are Sarah K Chen (http://sarahkchen.com/) and Jasmine Star (http://www.jasminestarphotography.com/) Both I think still reasonable. HTH! let me know if you have any ???s.

We’re using Duke Photography, which I believe one of the Bees used. He seems really nice, we love his photos and we’re getting 8 hours, 2nd shooter, album, and CD of images for about $4200.

Anyone know what Trista Lerit’s knottie bio was when she herself got married? I was trying to look for it.

I’m using Nataly Lemus. She’s out of LA and has amazing work and prices:
I’m going with her 2nd lowest priced packge (as of 2007 – I don’t know if her prices slightly increased) for $1200. 2 photographers, unlimited photos, all the high res photos touched up and re-finished on Disc/DVD and all copyrights, 8 hours.

I’m using Sae Lee Photography. I think he’s in your price range.

Our photographer Jeff Newson is amazing. http://www.pixoflife.com is great too. We met with Travis and pix of life this weekend and love both of them but pixoflife’s package had more of what we were looking for so we’re going with them.

We are using Cameron Ingalls. Our package is $5000 and includes, two photogs, 500 5×7 prints, a proof book, on line editing and proofing, a cd with all images, 8 hours of coverage and an engagment session. His work is AMAZING and he is so nice and personable!
I live in washington, so I am taking care of his travel expenses, but he is in San Luis Obispo, so So Cal should be easy!
