Green Gables and Twin Oaks Garden Estate in Northern San Diego County are both renovated school houses from the 1800’s. They both have a shabby chic English garden vibe.

Most of these are Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo county, but there are a lot of barn venues out here!

Santa Margarita Ranch:

I know there are a few more that you can google.. there’s a lot in this area, but it may be too north for you?

Good luck! 🙂

Well I was on the same budget, and wanted an outdoor garden feel. I chose the Fullerton Arboretum, right next to Cal State Fullerton. It is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures on their site arent the greatest… Theyre a bit dated haha but I highly recommend you go there and walk around! There is a wisteria arbor (which I am getting married under) and it is beautiful! And the venue is extremely affordable. Free to get in, and it closes to the public at 4 so no random people wandering around your wedding haha

I’m getting married at The Clarke Estate in October. It was not my first choice for our wedding but the grounds are amazing.  I love the feel of it.

Cakamigos ranch was my first choice and it is truly gorgeous!!!
