Cornbread. With corn.  Pecan, sweet potato, coconut, and pumpkin (?) pie.  Pieeeeee.  Greens!  Mac and cheese?

Veggies with hunks o’ meat in them.

Then again, my idea of southern comfort food is odd.  I don’t much care for a great deal of it.

I think it sounds good but I’d add some more food to the mix maybe.  Like surkim said- maybe some mac and cheese, collard greens, candied yams…. yummy.

I asked about southern food last night, actually. I’m excited about your chicken and waffles!

We are doing it! My mom is suppose to be talking to the caterer today! We are doing Shrimp and grits with the toppings, chicken fingers, pork tenerloin with sweet potato biscuits, mac and cheese, smashed potatoes with toppings, cornbread, fried okra, green bean casserole adn lemonade and sweet tea!

yum, all this food is making me hungry! My favorites are pecan pie, sweet potato pie, fried chicken, potato salad, barbecue and cole slaw sandwiches, lemonade, limeade, orangeade, fried okra…. the list goes on and on
