I have to agree that this sounds sooo yummy! And you need biscuits and cornbread, not rolls…come on it’s the south. And you definitely gotta include fried okra or collard greens. As for dessert, go with the pound cake…with different toppings (fruit, whipped cream, etc.). It’s light and most everyone likes it.

Shrimp & grits, sweet potato ham biscuits… if you do banana pudding do paula deen’s banana pudding, it’s killer. And I vote pecan pie too!

Or fried chicken, some sort of fried fish? I would start thinking of your favorite southern restaurants (I’m thinking like high cotton in Charleston/greenville sc type restaurants) and see what kind of food is on the menu!

We’re running into a banana problem with dessert too – I’d be all about some cobbler!  (I’m from ATL and FH is from NOLA so we’re trying to work in some southern food flare too…your menu sounds delicious!)

Sweet tea. It’s not a food, but it’s a drink. And it’s totally necessary. And Mint Juleps. And lemonaid. Sorry, I think I’m thirsty right now!
