- Wedding: August 2015
Fiance and I have been photog scouting! We’ve met a couple that have good potential, one that was a definite all caps NOPE, and then one that I’m leaning heavily towards.
We are planning a meet up sometime in the next month or so with this photographer.
What Fiance and I want:
Engagement session (shorter, outside, in Madison)
Wedding: at least 4 hours coverage, but not necessarily full day (and no pictures of me in my undies falling over attempting to put on my dress, thanks), general basic edits on all pictures (color corrections basically), decent edits on a couple pictures (B&W), no album, picture DVD/CD with full printing release
Wedding itself is a <100 person, outdoor semicasual affair on a very beautiful riverine setting. Our budget is less than $2000 and preferably much less than that.
The photog so far has confirmed that his equipment is WI-weather proof, he has backup photogs in case of any disasters (with a refund, even), we’ll get a few hundred pictures. He seems very flexible as far as shots go, and has a ton of ideas as well. I like his style of pictures a lot – no weird angles, no strange poses, very natural and happy looking people in the pictures. His website is straddlecreekphotography.com.
Has anyone else used him, or have any thoughts on what you see?
