I don’t have anything that I collect specifically.

We do magnets.  I love it because each time I’m at the fridge, one magnet can take me back to some great memories!

We collect Christmas ornaments.  Every time we go somewhere new, we buy a Christmas ornament from the place to remind us of the trip.  🙂

@Mrs. Spring – that’s a great idea too!  I like it.

Ditto the christmas ornaments. And i try to find art i love when I’m traveling.

I like souvenirs to remind me of travels, but I don’t like “stuff” cluttering up my house, so I aim for functional things–things I’d buy because I love them, not just because they are from x place.

Yeah, I never thought I had a problem but my Darling Husband pointed out that I like to buy those little glass handmade jewelry boxes.  I bought a little one when I went to Tijuana a few years ago and when we went to Cancun last week, I couldn’t resist to buy another one.  Darling Husband said to me, “you need another one?”  LOL  That and I like buying pictures.  The ones where they take a picture of you randomly at a store or restaurant or amusement parks.  I’m a softie when it comes to those. If I like it, I will get it.  I guess I like it as a souvenir.. something to remember that moment by.   Depending on the place, it can cost between $15 to $30 and especially at an amusement park where they offer you 5 of those things… I’m in trouble.  hehe

I always get hot sauce from anywhere I visit!  I try to get one that says the city or state on the bottle.  We love spicy stuff, so that’s been our thing for awhile.  I can’t wait to have more space on my kitchen walls, I’d love to have a shelf for them.

I collect those $0.51 deals where you pay $0.50 and put in a penny and the machine rolls out your penny into a design that you select and you have to hand crank the machine to make our own penny. If it’s an overseas trip, I just collect random things that I think will make awesome decor in my house! Lately, it’s been a plaque of the location’s icon (e.g. leaning tower of pisa, sydney opera house, great wall of china, etc.)

It’s super cheesy but we always get a shot glass! But we go for nice looking shot glasses. We have a pretty decent collection now because other ppl get it for us as well.

But the idea is one day when Fiance has his man cave/basement bar we’ll create a tiny shelf that goes around the whole perimeter and line it with shot glasses.
