I love the dress! So pretty! I’m a little worried about the hairpiece taking away from the detailing on the strap of the dress. I would go for more of a birdcage or traditional veil instead of the hairpiece. Do you have a picture of this dress with a similar hairpiece?

Personally, with that big ruffle on your shoulder, I think you should do something small on your head. a simple head band or a small clip I think would look much more sleek, rather than over the top.

I htink that the hairpiece might be a bit much with the awesome detailing on your stunning dress!  I think a simpler veil/birdcage would complement your dress much more!

I personally think that this headpiece will be too much with this dress. The ruffle on the shoulder is really dramatic, and I think that the headpiece will look really overwhelming.

It’s like that old policy of putting on all the accessories you want to wear with an outfit, and then taking one off- Usually, less is more.

Not a fan of the hairpiece, but it’s your wedding. Do what you feel most beautiful in!

The dress is gorgeous! Congratulations!

I agree with the post above. Love the dress, but I really dislike the head piece. It’s just too much

My friend recently got married and had a VERY similar dress to yours.  She actually didn’t wear a veil but instead wore her hair up in a high pony (like Reese Witherspoon at the Oscars this year).  She also had a jeweled belt and sparkly accessories and it looked STUNNING- very elegant and simple.

If you’re set on having something in your hair, what about a large hair flower or a jeweled clip?  I think that headpiece would take away the focus from YOU and your face, which is definitely not what you want on your wedding day. 🙂

I think you should think simple and clean like the model

Nope that hairpiece and the bow on the shoulder of the dress do not match! Your dress is gorgeous. The hairpiece is okay but a bad choice with the dress.

I would’t wear a veil, birdcage at all. Just a nice up-hairdo

That hairpiece is just going to be too much with your dress!  Beautiful dress, that I would really think more simple in your hair.

@Miss Root: I like the high pony idea.

I LOVE your dress, but I agree to keep it simple with accessories, especially on your head.  I really like the styling on the model, with some jeweled earrings, and a big cuff on the arm opposite the one with the twirly strap.

I think it’ll be too much. It’ll just be really heavy and detract from such a lovely dress.

If your dress didn’t have the one shoulder I would say go for it with the head piece, cause its fabulous! However, the one shoulder on your dress is gorgeous and I think the head piece will overpower the dress (also they are different fabrics and cuts so they wouldnt work together well.) I would try something more understated like a small feather fascinator or a jeweled clip of somekind.

P.S. your dress is freaking gorgeous!

I agree with PP that that headpiece takes away from the drama of the shoulder on your dress. I would go for something smaller, and make sure to place it on the opposite side of your head as the shoulder piece!
