Other than the eating, The Guy’s dad will do a quick speech (since he’s hosting the dinner), and The Guy and I will also speak briefly just to thank everyone and present the wedding party with their gifts. That’s about it!

We’re having an EXTREMELY intimate rehearsal dinner, with only the people in the wedding and immediate family. So, I think it will be really fun and I’m actually looking forward to it ๐Ÿ™‚

At every Rehearsal Dinner I’ve been to, including my own, we really just ate and hung out; its nice to just relax before the big day.

At mine we did a little dancing b/c the place we had the Rehearsal Dinner at had a live band ๐Ÿ™‚

At our rehearsal dinner we had about 85 people. We did southern BBQ buffet style so people were eating, hanging out, catching up….we also had lawn games (badminton, croquet and ladderball) and then later in the evening we did a slideshow of us as a couple and us with friends and family. I had SO much fun at our rehearsal dinner!!! Another Rehearsal Dinner I went to had karaoke and dancing because there was a mariachi band! That was a lot of fun too ๐Ÿ™‚

i think we’ll do a few toasts probably and give out our gifts to the bridal party.

Because we are only having our Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor make toasts at the wedding, I sent an email to the rest of the BMs and GMs letting them know that they were welcome to make a toast at the Rehearsal Dinner and to let me know if they would like to.

Most rehearsal dinners I’ve been to are just the bridal party and immediate family. The bride and groom will thank everyone for their support and help with the wedding, and they’ll hand out the bridal party gifts.

Otherwise, we just eat, drink and migle!

We played a German wedding game where we sat with our (hubby and I) backs to each other, took off our shoes, gave one shoe to the other, and were asked questions like “who cleans the most?,” “who uses their toothbrush the most?,” and some other possibly embarrassing questions gathered by my SIL. It got everyone talking and laughing while being fun for us. We also had a themed rehearsal dinner with everyone dressing up as an 80’s nerd or prom queen.
