My ring is new – 20th Anniversary upgrade with orginal marquise diamond as center stone. I noticed that the prong on the bottom of my main diamond was rubbing against the diamonds on the wedding band. Also, there is a natural gap in between them due to the prongs. I had never heard of a “spacer” before searching these boards but I decided to get one to see. I bought a 1mm spacer to stop the rings rubbing together. It works perfectly for that. However, I’d like your opinion on how it looks? It won’t hurt my feelings if you hate it! I truly need guidance because I’m new to all of this ring stuff. Spacer or no spacer and please tell me why you chose? Thanks in advance for your help!!

It looks fine. Even if you aren’t crazy over the look I’d use it to protect your rings. I just got mine today. Better than an expensive repair. 🙂
I find it’s a lot more obvious in a close up picture. In person I know my spacer really doesn’t stand out as much as the picture makes it look.

The spacer is barely noticeable, and if it does the job of protecting your rings, then I think it’s great!

Nat82 : very true! Thank you! I agree about it standing out less in person. I’d love to see yours- please post a pic if you can.

Hereforthecake : great point! Thank you! I will wear it all day tomorrow at work and see if it becomes less noticeable to me. It does definitely protect my other diamond. There is no rubbing at all.
