Here’s my wedding set, although it’s not official until June 25th, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing it around the house, shhh. 😉

MrsSparkleBee13:

hi and thank you so very much for your compliments 😘

It’s a palladium setting with 20 X 1.75mm vs1 e/f colour diamonds in the halo I did have another 12 to set in the shank 6 each side but changed my mind at the last minute to a plain shank instead so keeping diamonds for a custom wedding band in the future. My centre stone is …..shhhh lol  a 7.5 mm approx 2 carat equiv hand cut AAAAA CZ cushion made for me by a family friend who is a master gem cutter. We chose the crushed ice design together as I wanted lots of light and sparkle in the stone and it certainly does!! I know many people will scoff at my choice of stone but for us and our budget it was the only way I would be able to get the ring if my dreams We could never have afforded a diamond of that size, colour and clarity. Maybe in years to come or if we win the lottery I will consider upgrading as I know CZ won’t have the life span of a diamond but truthfully at the cost I paid I could replace it every couple of years if I needed to.

Huds:  I normally do my nails dark colours to make my ring pop but yours are so beautiful and your ring is delicious looking I might take a leaf out of your book and go more subtle!!!

MrsSparkleBee13:  Thank you! 🙂 Yep, it is a marquise diamond. I designed this ring around my original diamond. This was an anniversary present. My husband was fine with me getting a whole new ring and diamond but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I remember how excited he was when he gave me my original ring. I loved that memory even though the marquise was not my favorite shape anymore. I asked the jeweler if we could put the diamond in a setting where it would sort of look like a princess or radiant cut but still be the marquise. I love how it looks different in various lighting. The ring feels new to me but the history is still there.

AussieEncore:  Thanks! Yeah, I plan to wear it as both an alternate “wedding” ring and a RHR (I tend to switch rings between my fingers all the time – I like to mix things up a bit).

The tracking right now is driving me crazy though. It cleared customs in Vancouver two days ago but there have been no updates since so I have no idea where it is or when it will be here…I can’t even tell if it has entered my province yet.

luey12986:  Hopefully the week is going fast for you so far!

The weather here today is dreary and overcast, and so the lighting is horrible, but here’s my sparklies for the day. I decided to wear the Adalia today and am now reconsidering selling it again. It is just so pretty 🙂 I normally wear it without a band but decided to give it a go with a straight band today.
