(Closed) Spanx for fitted dresses? yes? no?

So I heard from a professional that if it rolls down you need to go a size up. That way it still holds you in but doesn’t roll down.

Also if you plan on wearing spanx on your wedding you should wear it to your fitting. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope that helps!

@peacockrosebride:  I find there is a discernable difference between cheaper and more expensive shapewear. I only own one piece of Spanx, and it’s a strapless bandeau slip so not so helpful for your purposes. Have you tried Nancy Ganz though? I’m a big fan…they have a couple of different underwear designs that could work, either boy short or high waisted brief, and the waist part has a panel that gives a really smooth silhouette. I bought a few from Myer/DJs when they had 25% off and they’ve lasted for years.
