My dress is a little thin, it is taffeta so I plan on wearing something under it. I am not looking to instantly “look slimmer”, I just had 2 kids so my tummy is not very firm and I want to smooth it out.
so I do not want pantyhose, they would probably do the job but they always roll and are uncomfy! Can someone recommend me something that will stay put? I am looking at the briefs that go up to your boobs, or the slips that do that. The thigh ones wont work because I have bigger thighs…and in my experience things dont fit properly.
OR even if there is a pair of pany hose out there that wont move, because I have to wear them too lol

I would buy a few different options and test them out – like go out for dinner in a nice dress or something to get a real feel for how they will look/feel when you wear them for a few hours.
I heard Spanx works wonders but is very uncomfortable.

@kjo:
Get a corset. I used to think they’d be so terrible but you don’t have to tighten them to the point you can’t breathe. Just suck yourself in as much as you’re comfortable with and everything will stay put all night. Once I discovered this I vowed I would never wear Spanx again. The only disadvantage is that you can’t really bend at the waist so if you drop something you have to bend your knees to get it, or make someone else pick it up for you lol.

I love the spanx brand. I have the one that is the shorts and go up to your bra line and it is so soft and comfy! I know they sell off brands that are cheaper, but trust me, the actual spanx are worth the money! They have perfected the style and you will be so comfortable! I love wearing them under every dress just to help me feel more secure and shapely 🙂

Defintely go with a corset… they make any figure look amazing, and accentuate your curves. There is the issue with bending at the waist, but the tradeoff in how fabulous you’ll look and feel is definitely worth it. Plus, there is the added bonus of your new husband getting to see you in some seriously sexy undergarments after it’s all said and done.
If you absolutlely can’t do a corset, try something like a torsolette, which is similar to a corset but a little less restricting. Something like this: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Satin-Torsolette-8950_Accessories-Lingerie-Bras

Just make sure that you can easily get them on and off in case you have to use the restroom. I attended a wedding recently where the MOB had to be cut out of her Spanx because she couldn’t get it off.
