@DayDay:  I LOVE LOVE LOVE spanx. It defintely helps make sure everything stays in place. My trouble area are my love handles, and when I wear spanx, they are practically gone 😉  Personally I think every bride should wear some kind of shapewear, whether you’re a size 4 or size 14 =) And there are all kinds of shapewear out there, so find what works best for you!

I wear exactly that kind of spanx under every dress… I’ve never really paid attention to if they make me a size smaller but I can say I always look fantastic and feel confident in them. I’ll be wearing those under my wedding dress as well.

@DayDay:  it just depends on the spanx because the spanx will only go so high up your back. I have the same problem, and my dress is corset as well, and what I learned helps is to not make the corset AS tight on the first lace or two towards the top, or to make the corset more V cut on top and it reduces the back bulge like crazy.

@DayDay:  Back fat is usually enhanced by wearing something that fits so snugly that the only place for the fat to go is on top of something tight… sort of like a back muffin top. However if you are talking about the folds of back fat that are sort of down around your waist, yes it will smooth the appearance of that.
