I think it’s a case of everyone gets a lighter and sparkler and someone does a countdown of 1-2-3-LIGHT! and everyone just lights them at the same time and hopes everyone elses sparkler catches! I agree, it does sound like a bit of a logistical nightmare – not to mention a bit hit and miss!

This is why you get the super long sparklers.  They are like 3 feet long and can burn about 5-8 minutes or something like that.  Search around for these supersized sparklers.

As a guest, I would not want to take part in a sparkler send-off. I don’t want to burn holes in my nice clothes!

(As a bride, I would not want a sparkler send-off for the same reason, I don’t want my wedding gown getting holes burned in it!)

Just something to think about.

We did it and everyone just lit their sparklers and they were extra long so they burned for longer and then once we saw that most people had gotten theirs lit we started walking through them…it was a lot of fun!

just a thought, a friend recently got married and she did a sparkler send off. the sparklers give off a really, really rough smell. we were coughing. It made for some really great pictures and a lot of fun for the couple, but I would try to find ones that don’t gas your guests 🙂
