@tinylittlebird: LMAO…. I’m reading this at work and I’m pretty sure I just woke up anyone who may have been dozing off in their little cubicle world… SO funny. And I’m right there with ya on that one 😉

@Quietserenity: Wow, I agree.. I’m glad that you were able to get out of that relationship. Sooo… I feel like I have to ask now — did you end up marrying the ex, by chance??

I would have a heart attack. How is ANYONE supposed to pay attention after THAT happens? And no one is going to remember the rest of your wedding because all anyone can think is omg I cannot believe someone ACTUALLY did that. Plus what do you say? Like yeah I really don’t like him and I think it’s a bad idea. If I’ve come this far I’m not going to go, “Yeah your right, let’s call the whole thing off now.” Why is that EVEN in there?! No point to it. Even jokingly I would have a conniption.

@CellaDee: Are you kidding!?! He already told me that if Kate Hudson wanted to date I would be out! HAHAHA! We joke about it all the time! He gets Kate Hudson, Christina Aguilera, and Christina Hendricks…. I get Johnny Depp, Robert Sean Leonard, and Jim Sturgess (though, I might have to sneak James Frain in there too…)

I attended a wedding as a baby and I guess I started wailing right after the “speak now or forever hold your peace” question.  Sealed

It’s not part of the Catholic ceremony, but if it was and someone did…I don’t know, I’d probably just awkwardly laugh and hope they were kidding.

My ex started sending me some really weird texts before the wedding and we were a little worried he’d show up. But I think even he realized it wouldn’t really work.

My Future Sister-In-Law told me she was going to cough *don’t do it* at this part. lol Luckily, we aren’t including that in the ceremony. I also told her I would run straight at her and kick her ass if she did that. lol

She likes to see if she can bring out my inner bridezilla, not happening woman! 😉

I saw a wedding where this couple hired a couple of actors where one spoke up and the other stood up and told him to sit down. They argued back and forth for a little bit. It was very realistic but hillarious.

@kfricke89: I was thinking as a joke to do this…but then I’d be afraid that someone in MY family would say something…blah…

In response to the OP, I would cut a 81+ch if anyone would try this!!

During our ceremony, our priest pointed out that there were two doors on either side of the altar.  You know, in case the bride or groom had to escape.  I don’t remember anything about allowing people to object, but maybe, it was all kind of a blur…

It almost happened at my first wedding. My priest did NOT like my first husband. (He was close to our family since my first Communion.) There was room behind the alter and the priest told him that he had 5 minutes to make up his mind. If he (my ex) was gone by the time he (the priest) got back, he would take care of it and explain everything.

Ex-husband opened door and saw my best friend Walter, screeching into the parking lot. (Walt had told me not to marry him under any circumstance. I could marry him (Walt) or not marry anyone but to please God not marry the ex.) Ex had the Best Man lock the front doors and motion to the Organist to get things rolling! Good think I’m organized because that kicked off everything about 10 minutes early.

I bet it looked like a road-runner cartoon. (I was tucked away on the opposite side of the church!)

I kinda wish Walt would’ve banged a little harder…..
