I have never done it but I think the reason that it works is because of calorie restriction.  Make sure you aren’t reducing your calories too low, it isn’t healthy to go below 1200 a day.

I’ve done it and it works. Like MissAsB its just limiting your calories for most of your meals. It wasn’t a long term solution for me because I couldn’t eat cereal that much.

My meals now follow a similar pattern. I eat a breakfast burrito for breakfast (around 250 calories) and a piece of fruit and iced tea or coffice. For lunch I usually have tons of veggies (steam in the bad kind) and maybe some hummus and pita bread (around 400 calories) and then I eat (pretty much) whatever I want for dinner in moderation. I keep track of my calories and eat around 1750-1800 a day which is making me lose weight and I’m not hungry all the time.

I have never done it. My grandparents did it a few years ago and lost some weight, but as soon as they stopped the weight came back, plus they grew pretty sick of it pretty fast. The only thing that would worry me about this is that even though you get all the viatmins they spray on the cereal, you don’t get any antioxidants etc.
