I think most mums are relatively inexpensive ( compared to roses, peonies, or hydrangea)…check with fiftyflowers.com or wholeblossoms.com to get an idea.

They’re cheap! And they last a long time too. I had a bouquet from trader joe’s with lime green spider mums and they outlasted all the other flowers, even in a glass vase on my windowsill!

I looked at spider mums with my forist, and she said that a bridesmaid bouquet would run about $35.

So much cheaper than roses or lilies, and very tough!  I love the way they look…so querky.  I’m using them for my bridesmaids bouquets.

Cheap and beautiful! I’m using them to pull in that fabulous shade of green.

Very cost effective and hardy, according to the florist we’re working with. If they’re in season and you like them, go for it!

I LOVE spider mums. I wish I’d known they were so cheap! They have them in bouquets at trader joe’s and they always last the longest.

I love how edgy spider mums are! they are so fun looking!  I just bought a bunch this weekend (saturday) for $7 for 10 stems and they are still the perkiest flowers in my mock up centerpieces! Plus they will be in season during fall…perfect for an october wedding!

One thing though…i tried to make a couple bouquets with spider mums and dahlias the spider mums are kind of overwhelming the bouquets.  My aunt who was helping me said it looks much better in moderation! Don’t use too many!

I am using the lavender spider mums as my DIY centerpieces.  I have the reception set up much like a family dinner table.  We are just going to put them in vases.  I know it isn’t the most "technical" centerpiece but it looks good!  We ordered them at a Publix with full-floral services and I think they were about a dollar a stem?

Spider mums are so gorgeous! I once saw a bouquet of white peonies & spider mums– wowza! I’m excited to hear that the flowers are inexpensive… I’ll definintely be using them somewhere!
