I do the same thing, eating one group at a time in reverse order of how much I like it (start with my least favorite part, save my favorite part for last.) Same thing on a smaller scale where I eat the outsides of things like bagels and toast so I have the best parts for last.
I also cut food into the smallest tastable pieces possible and try to draw out eating it for a long time… and I can’t bring myself to ever eat everything on my plate. No matter how much or how little I take, I MUST throw away a tiny bit. I know it sounds wasteful but it’s never more than a fraction of a bite… but I feel like if I eat 100%, something bad will happen. I don’t know why.

This isn’t too weird, but I always eat the salad last instead of first.

Ha we sound like we have very similar eating habits! I forgot to mention that I eat my least favorite first as well. I also always throw a tiny bit out. DH always makes fun of me and tells me it doesn’t matter if I’m served a huge portion or tiny portion- I will always throw just a tiny bit out.
I didn’t mention this but I also always cut up my food completely before I eat. I’ve been told not to do this with some meats because it lets all the juices out but I do it anyways.
However, I don’t care at all if my foods touch each other.

My food can’t touch…unless it’s pasta done in a sauce or with the sauce poured over it…or if it’s a dish that’s meant to touch and mix like shepherd’s pie or paella. Otherwise, my rice has its own area on the plate(with space), as does the meat and veggies. I take up a forkful of rice and meat and eat it at the same time though. I once asked Fiance (then SO) to heat up some leftovers for me and he mixed everything together. He didn’t know about my weirdness at that time. I couldn’t eat the food and he couldn’t understand as “it all ends up the same place”.
I can’t put salad in my mouth unless there’s meat in the forkful. I just can’t. I hate salad (besides caesar) and in order to eat it, it must be accompanied by meat or fish.
I won’t bite into a sandwich that I didn’t made unless I open it up and inspect it.
I know this is about food…but I’m also weird when it comes to dark drinks. I won’t drink a coke unless it’s been poured into a glass. Same with cans. I suppose I don’t like to take chances in case there’s something floating around in it that I may end up swallowing. Yuck.
There are many more I could share but I will stop here!

Oooh I’m pretty paranoid too… opening up sandwiches and stuff. One of my favorite beverages comes in a juice box and I’m always nervous that I’m gonna have some situation like with that person who got the moldy capri sun…
