mrscross1020 :  Between 35 and 50 mins depending on traffic and weather. Wish I was closer sometimes but I use it to plan my day in the morning and decompress at night.

We did a trial run before putting in an offer on our house – 9 minutes without traffic and about 20-25 minutes with traffic + every single red light.

25 minute bike, bus, or Lyft ride, depending on what I’m feeling like that day! I love living in the city (I recently moved to DC).

I’m in southern California too… my 23 mile commute usually takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. hopefully moving closer in the next few months!

One hour each way, thankfully with very little stop-and-go traffic. But after doing this for 3 years, I’m growing more and more weary from it. My energy levels are low and my car is needing more and more repairs. I have tried looking for jobs closer to home but so far that hasn’t worked out. I sure miss my old commute, which was only 10 minutes! But then I got married. lol

Fellow So Cal traffic sufferer here!!

I am lucky and live 7 miles from work and it takes me 10-15 minutes depending on the stop lights, BUT, we live off the 91 freeway (oops I mean parking lot) and it takes my husband 1 – 2 hours to go about 30 miles. He usually goes to work 3 hours before he starts (leaving at about 3 AM, starts at 7) because it is easier to sit in his car and read or do HW for a few hours than to enter the 91 East at 5:30 AM and deal with the stop and go madness. Our current priority is finding him a job closer, because moving to Orange County is not exactly financially feasible right now.

For anyone else from So Cal… the struggle IS REAL. The 91 doesn’t need to be fixed, it needs to be burrned down and remade…

nyebridemd :  Same… except mine is public transit which I guess is easier but it annoys me that I burn so much time in transit.

Upwards of an hour. My office relocated in February last year, and I now have to use the toll road unless I want to spend 1.5 hours plus in the car one way. I used to be able to get to work in about 45-50 minutes, but traffic in my area has been horrible this year – either people are starting earlier or they’re trying to cut off traffic by passing out near where I live. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
