I just figured out in the past few days (have not had my new set long) but lighting in stores and in restaurants makes my rings sparkle like crazy. We went to BW3 last night and I seriously couldn’t believe the sparkle. Then I was at the mall buying some jeans about a week ago and the cashier was gushing over them, and I know the track lighting up by the register didn’t hurt in that case.

I have gotten compliments pretty frequently. I think because of the lighting in my workplace haha. It sparkles like crazy. I also work closely with customers and use my hands a lot so that’s another big factor.

I love complimenting especially when the ring is unique 🙂 I love seeing people express themselves through it

@MissBettsy:  I’ve probably told you this already but your ring is just stunning.

I don’t normally comment on other people’s rings unless I know or have been introduced to them but I’ve found that, since I’ve gotten engaged, I have found myself taking more notice of what people are wearing on their left ring finger.

As for comments on my engagement ring, it depends on which ring I’m wearing. The sapphire ring is my everyday ring and it is meant to be more subtle and.. modest I suppose. People have commented positively on it – mostly about the colour of the sapphire – but such comments are infrequent. However, when I wear my emerald ring, it’s a whole different story. The stone is bigger, the colour is breathtaking and it’s on a higher cathedral setting so of course people are going to take notice. The most memorable thus far was the woman in the jewellery grabbing my hand to show my ring to her boss. Luckily for her, I don’t have an issue with people coming into my personal space lol.

All the time. Allll. The. Time. To the point of ignoring people. I think it’s the fluorescent lights at my job that draw sooooo much attention to it. I really don’t know. At first all the compliments were so nice to hear…now… Not so much.

Generally, the only compliments I get are from people who work in jewelry stores. (I like to browse often. 1) it serves as a subtle reminder to DH to hurry up whereever else he is so I don’t find something to buy! 2) I love love love looking at jewelry)

I’ve gotten compliments on it, but its not a daily occurence. My ring is a simple, four prong, diamond solitaire and I have whats known as a resting bitch face so maybe those things factor into why people don’t approach me..
