Why can’t you exchange or return items at David’s Bridal? Sorry if this question was already asked.

Hey there! Thanks so much for answering all these questions!

I’ve got a few for ya:
1. How long does it take after the release of the new season’s dresses for White by Vera Wang dresses to have their prices reduced?

2. How much does it cost at DB to alter a straight-neck strapless to a scoop-neck? There is moderate beading and applique work (VW351124). Have you seen an alteration like this performed successfully?

3. Do they do any other alterations other than standard hems, taking in, bustles, etc? I want to know if they could transform that loop into a bow on the VW351124.

Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for your answer! It looks like I will have to go to an independent seamstress if I get the VW351124.

Also, i think a scoop neckline is like this:

and a true sweetheart is more pointy in the middle:

That was just my understanding based on what people have talked to me about! hahah 🙂

This is a question about bridesmaids dress orders….

My Bridesmaid hasnt ordered her dress yet and probally wont have the money to order it until the end on this month.

If she orders it lets say the end of August or the first week in September will she get it in enough time for my October 22 wedding?

Also she wont need alterations on a dress she picked out cause it fits very good.

I must be a rare case, because I brought my dress back after 6 months to see if I could get a smaller size.  It had been discontinued, and they let me exchange it for a different dress.  I hadn’t done any alterations on it and it was still in the the bag.  It was an even exchange with no problems.

@janetsnakehole:  I thought it was great that they let me do it. She told me they don’t usually allow it, but I had lost so much weight that my original dress was going to be like 2 sizes too big.  We ended up having to get my Maid/Matron of Honor a new dress and we bought it at DB just as a “Thank you” for helping me out with my dress.  🙂
