somathemagical :  My mother is the same way! She is petite, and can wear close to anything. She wore a bridesmaid dress, she couldn’t find any traditional mothers dresses that she liked.

My Mother In Law wore a ankle length navy dress as well with a chiffon jacket. It was warm, but she wore what she felt comfortable in!

Rina diMontella evening gown, on a model. It was a formal, evening wedding, in the ballroom of a historic hotel.

somathemagical :  I love that dress – so pretty and definitely not matronly!  My mom is petite with a great figure but wanted long, she ordered this for our June outdoor wedding (it coordinates with our colors):

Future Mother-In-Law has a steel blue gown with some silver detailing that is very pretty, but she’s still undecided.

somathemagical :  Yes. The bride and bridesmaids wore Lazaro ballgowns.

My mom just bought her dress! She had gastric bypass and has lost well over 100lbs in 2 years, so I loved seeing her face light up when she saw how good she looked in his dress. (Our venue is really formal)–

Future Mother-In-Law is most likely purchasing this dress (she loves shiny/blingy dresses)–

—-I really like that dress you posted for your mom! Very pretty!

somathemagical :  My Mum likes to dress quite young and she’s still quite slim so she’s wearing an Ian Stuart Dress:

Future Mother-In-Law is a little older than my Mum and not quite as slim, so she’s chosen this dress which I love for her 🙂

Our colours, coincidentally are blue and grey/silver so they both did quite well there haha

We didn’t ask them to go with our wedding colours btw.

my mum is breaking the trend by wearing a pant suit, and specifically this one …

she will be ordering it at the end of next month to give it time to arrive. FI’s mum is still deciding, but shes very free spirited, so i doubt she’ll settle on an outfit until much closer to the time

My mom is in her early 60s and very tall & slender. She chose this dress in cobalt blue for my siser’s wedding this June.
