If so, are you paying? OR do you guests pay? The only place close to the hotel (our reception venue/hotel is out in the boonies) is a somewhat lackluster diner. I really don’t want to make my Out of Town guests drive 30 minutes to have brunch (which is where Fi’s family lives). Thoughts?

@AirForceWife78: We are. We have a lot of Out of Town guests. Technically the breakfast is included at the place we room blocked (which is also our wedding venue) but we are paying 15 dollars per person for every extra person, who did not stay over night at the hotel we room blocked at. Our room block is already filled, and the venue only has 20 available rooms- with many Out of Town guests, there will be a lot of extra people who had to stay at other hotels in the area. My parents are paying for the people.
Whenever you invite people to something- you pay. So if you invite them to come to brunch, you pay for it. Does the hotel offer anything? Or do they have a room that you could bring in bagels and doughnuts?

@SparkleBee11: The hotel doesn’t really offer anything. And you know what? We’re doing a party bus for the wedding after party which includes the BM’s and GM’s anyway, so I think we’re going to skip brunch.

No, we’re not having a day after brunch. The hotel our room block is at offers a free breakfast for guests.

FIs father has graciously offered to host a catered brunch at the house they’re renting- it will be his side of the family and mine, as well as a few close friends if theyd like to attend. It will be nice for the families to get to hang out a bit since we’re not having a rehersal dinner

We are. Ours will be held at the hotel where our wedding is taking place. Literally 100% of our guests are from out-of-state so everyone will be staying overnight after the wedding. We’re paying for it, but we’re also having a small wedding (38 guests). If we were having a large wedding we might not be covering this since we’re paying for all of the guest hotel rooms as well.

We had a DIY bagel breakfast at the local park and it was GREAT! About 2/3 of our guests came, and it was super fun to get some more time with everyone. We spent about $350 for bagels, coffee, spreads, cheese, OJ, and champagne for ~100 and it was totally worth it.

We’re having a brunch for the Out of Town guests at my Mom’s house. The guests do not have to pay at all. 🙂
