I Looooove buttons:) My dress is a zipper with a button-loop closure over the back so that you can’t see the zipper. Can’t wait to wear her!

I love buttons!  But not all the way down the back.  I will say that while I love to look of buttons more I tried on one corset dress and felt amazing in it- it fit, didn’t fell like it was going to fall off of me, etc.

I think every button dress has a zipper- or at least I assumed as much.

This is mine. A fishtail shape which had an inner corset, a zipper with buttons and loops.

I absolutely love buttons unfortunately the dress I am in love with right now is just a zipper no buttons. Not sure if it will be a deal breaker or not!

I love buttons.  My dress was a sample that had zero buttons, just a plain zipper.  I had the seamstress add them the entire length!  It was a beautiful lace dress but a bit plain otherwise, so the buttons added a lot to it.  Totally worth it.  (And I am in awe of anyone who added buttons on themselves – wow!)

I love buttons!  My dress has a zipper back with decorative buttons. I really wanted a dress that had buttons all the way down the train but the dress I fell in love with only has the buttons to right above my butt.  I could have added buttons down the train but it would have ruined the pretty detailing on the train so I decided against it.

I think the only real benefit of a corset over buttons is that they are easier to size because you have leeway with pulling the strings tighter or looser… whereas with buttons/zipper you have to have the fit exactly right to get the same effect.

My runner-up dress had a zipper with buttons but at the top back part, where the lace became sheer, the buttons were not decorative and needed to be hooked in order to keep the sheer part up.

I LOVE buttons. Mine has them, but my dress hasn’t come in. The picture below is of the sample, which was way, way too big, so the consultant tucked part of it in so I could kind of see the back. Hence the super wonky back- but at least you can kind of see the buttons in this pic. Also, my veil has no ribbon edge. 🙂

@TheLionQueen: i personally dont like the lace back on me so zip and buttons were the only way for me . this is my gal being made to accomodate the need to fit a wheelchair so no photos of me yet
