I’ll play! Here’s me blonde, which has only happened once for like one summer and I hated it:

Here’s another phase I went through: blue black. I was in Cabaret at the time, it made sense then!

A little more recent: Red bob

this was my most awesome phase: Home dyed pink

SUPER bright red and long for our engagement pics

And back to a more natural color for the wedding! I’m suprised I still have any hair on my head with all I subject it to.

I’ll play. I’ve been through various styles and shades of red.

My natural blonde at about 4:

Here’s my natural blonde at 12:

Long red, I think I was 19 or 20:

It is definitely the longest it has been in my adult life right now. It’s also it’s natural color, which is obvious by the above collage. I will say this….I hate having my hair long, it takes too long to dry. I’m SO ready to cut it off!

@Niqs: Right? I have a love-hate relationship with it now. I’m like, “DRY YOURSELF!” And then I realize it’s 30 degrees outside, so that isn’t going to happen. Haha. Just 48 more days! Oh goodness!

Thanks for this topic! How great – I have changed my hair color WAY TOO much throughout the years… even though I was born with coppery locks (who is actually happy with the hair they were born with, anyway? lol)

Sorry about the stupid face I am making – but here is when I gave myself BLUEISH-PURPLE “highlights” in early 2002 (more like dyed random chunks of my hair with manic panic – but it worked! I actually really loved it lol wish I could get away with doing it again)

I went way nuts with blonde highlights in 2004 but loved it (it’s close to what I have now, except here I did highlights all over my hair here)

This is how bizarre I am – what redheads dye their hair…a different shade of red?? lol I actually dyed my hair more of a raspberry red to get rid of my blonde highlights. I did this out of a box and actually liked it a lot

I went nuts again and got it dyed the darkest brown the stylist could dye it without it being black in late 2005. I had never done it before and it looked fantastic with my pale skin. I don’t think I’d ever go this drastic again because I do love being a redhead, but it was a fun hair color!

And here we are, fall 2006. I chopped it (I ended up hating the darkness of my hair, so I let my red grow back even though you can see it underneath). I rocked the highlights again.

Here is my hair longer, with lowlights and highlights from late 2007

This was generally what I did with my hair from 2008-2010… got dark red lowlights with a lil’ highlights here and there

I started growing my hair longer in early 2010 and then started dying it dark red all over throughout the year (I also was a bit tanner then – miss that!! but my face is tanner thanks to bronzer, w00t)

I cut 11 inches off of my hair in late 2010 ๐Ÿ™‚ and kept it dark red

And here is my hair now! I went back to the highlights just over my natural red color. I love it!

I hope you all enjoyed my life since 2002 in hair colors ๐Ÿ™‚

@nutMeg13…. I love your last picture, with the mix of curls and straight hair!

@Tessemasgirl: Your hair color and curls for your wedding were fabulous!!! I love that!

@Dub_D: Gheez, I thought I would be the one with the most different hair colors! I love all your colors, though! Really awesome!

@ElwoodBlues: Yay! Someone who has had a kooky hair color too! I don’t have any pics of it but I dyed the tips of my hair fire engine red and magenta a few times in college. I really do miss my blue highlights too!

@Niqs: You have such gorgeous hair! Your natural locks are awesome! Believe it or not, my hair looks like yours naturally too – I have learned to embrace my curls more as I get older, especially in the summer when it’s too darn hot to straighten it ๐Ÿ™‚

I love all these pics – keep them comin’!

I am a serial hair cutter. My hair grows like a weed so I have grown it past 2 feet long on several occasions…at which point it begins annoying the hell out of me and I chop it all off.

So I present to you, The Hair Yo-Yo Saga: A Pictorial Journey
