@westcoast_girl: i was in Israel in 2008 and decided to take a little side trip with a friend for a few days into Egypt. The Egyptians asked us if we were Americans, of course we say yes. All they wanted to know was why Bush was doing the things he was doing and if Tupac was really dead. Not being one to get into political discussions where I would feel uncomfortable we decided we would tell the Egyptians we were Canadian. So instead of Bush and Tupac, it become, “You like Canada Dry?”
I swear every Egyptian in the tourist business must have gone to the same school to learn a few phrases about each major country that might come visit.

@westcoast_girl: Welllll I grew up in Buffalo and worked at a hotel next to the biggest mall…so my feelings are probably a bit skewed! I wont share those! I am sure all the Canadians on here are wonderful.
As a teen Canada meant a great exchange, underage drinking and skanky strip clubs 🙂

@MsChandler: hahaha Robin Sparkles! HIMYM is one of my favorite shows!
When I hear Canada I think: Sidney Crosby, awesome maternity leave, Tim Hortons and the falls.
I grew up in NW PA so I’ve been to the falls more times than I care to admit!

@westcoast_girl: Not very many in CA. They’re more popular on the East Coast, we get too much flooding in this area and the soil is ridiculously difficult to work with. We know that both Bieber and Ford are outliers and that the majority of Canadians are more aware of their actions and how to handle themselves in public.

@Ms.Pink: No disrespect to French Canadian Bee’s on the boards, but the majority of Canada doesn’t like our Frenchies either…. and they don’t like us lol. At one point they wanted to seperate and be their own Country, until they realized they couldn’t afford to be without us 🙂 I’m sorry you get the mean Canadians! The nice ones are mostly in AZ during the winter months 🙂
